Hi All, new Metastock user here, I have strated using Metastock a few days ago, have been trading for a long time, but wanted to give this software, that seems to be everywhere, a try, and have to say that I am quite a bit disappointed with this software.
This is supposedly one of the best technical trading programs out there, and not being able to do common things, like saving my default settings on drawing tools, is hugely disappointing. I know I can add and remove levels to Fib ret. tool once on the chart, but having to do that every time, is huge waste of time. I would never guess in a million years, that software in this price range, does not have these options now days.
After one trades for a long time, one comes around the whole circle of technical analysis, and even though this software has 100's of totally useless indicators, efficient use of the ones that Markets follow, Fib levels, symmetry, and pressure points of price and time, is not available, or not user friendly and limited.

As far as saving charts go I believe it works like:
File-save as- (Smart chart or template). Smart chart save indicators on that particular
chart and template can be used to apply to many charts.
Use "Choose a Security" in bottom right hand corner - then options - then toggle
to use Smart Chart or template mode.
Hope this helps.
Don't know about other stuff.
