I need to use the symbol name inside a formula , can anyone help me ?

Is this what you are looking for:
You need the full path of where the symbol is located. On my computer it is
Security("C:\MS\Data\MSFT",C). The quotes are required, upper and lower case
need to be correct I believe. In Metastock - Get the path from "File" then, "Open" then use
"look in" to see your path.
