I've got all my stocks in different folders (a,b,c etc) and want to run a scan using Explorer on all of them at once. Can I do that without putting them all in the same folder please?

That depends on a few different things:
What version of MS are you running? If you have version 9+ (?) you should be able to select the top level folder i.e. the one contains a,,b,c, etc "open" this for the exploration data source.
Who is your data provider? Many data providers amalgamate the data into separate folders for equities, options, indexes etc. It is easy then to select just the right "flavour" for your exploration.
Have you researched how to make custom lists? These can be saved, edited and selected.
Hope this helps.

Dear Wabbit :
Even I have been facing the same problem. It is too trouble some. On read of your article, I have upgraded f rom MS 8 to MS 10. However the problem seems to not have been sorted. You have to select Individual Folders for selecting the scrips in them, and there seems to be no provision to Open the Mother Folder (ie the Highest Level Data Directory / Folder)
Pls. suggest some new method or trick. PLEASEEEEEEEEEEE..... Need it desperately.
Affecting my Daily Bread and Butter ......
Thanks in advance
Regards,
Vijay

Hi Vijay, Welcome to the Forum. You don't have to select every folder, just select the top level, then noticing the drop-down arrow on the "Open" button, select "Open Folder Contents" I am almost certain this is the case in MS10, but I only have MS9 loaded at the moment... wabbit [:D]
