Hi
Is it possible to export the individual trades from an EST to excel so that they take 1 row each. It would then be easy to perform calculations on the results, like caculating the expectancy and standard deviation of results and a whole host of other usfull information.
Cheers
Stew

Hi again Stew,
The results from the EST are saved to a JET database format file, ST_DATA.mdb which can be opened like any other database in MS Access, MS SQL Server or its contents read through Excel.
There isn't any need to export anything; BUT be very careful what you change in this file as it contains more than just the results! Always take a backup of this file before tinkering.

Thanks Wabbit
Is there any documentation on this database? I opened it in Access but cannot find the individual trade results.
Cheers

Stew,
Sorry, I misunderstood what you are looking for. The individual test results are in the .mdb file, the individual trades are in a sub-folder under MetaStock called "Results" and are (unfortunately) binary files.
Perhaps if we ask Equis (really, really) nicely, they will give out the format for the file so it can be read by other apps?

P.S. You can of course press the save button at the top right of the results dialogue and output a text file of the trades.
