how do i convert list of txt symbols to custom folder metastock charts

I have a list of symbols from another program scan in a text file and want to open the list of charts in metastock.
how can i create a custom folder with these symbols?

Starting with the more basic solutions:
* Search the forum for how to employ "symbol files" or .sym files for the Downloader. (Also, search for other posts and solutions for creating custom lists.)
* Ask your data provider if they support the creation of custom lists. (A good data provider does support this, no charge).
* Getting more complicated: Manually copy the required files into a separate folder using the Downloader
* Paid solutions: Buy a product, such as Jim Berg's list tool. There are many out there, but I reckon you should be able to achieve what you want by trying the no-cost solutions first.
