Hi Please help, I have about 20 mutual funds I'm trying to track. I created a watchlist that I would like to explore every day looking for RMO values greater than 1 (bullish zone). When I do an exploration with only 1 column and the formula being

Fml( "Rahul Mohindar Osc (RMO)")

to display the value..I get for example on #TRSAX as -2.1384 scan run 2/6/09 so data from 2/5/09 close...now when I pull up the chart of #TRSAX from my local data, or off reuters datalink I get an RMO of 1.26404...

i have no idea what the discrepancy is, I use reuters datalink to download the securities to my hd, update them and explore...then using the same data I plot the chart and get a completely different RMO...how is this possible???

thanks for any help

Hi biff,

This is a very common problem; there are hundreds of posts on the forum explaining why this happens and how to fix it. Do a search of the forum and I am sure you will be amazed.

The short answer is to uncheck, Load Minimum Records and select an appropriate amount of data for the exploration.

thank you my friend, that did the trick! Also, I was up late last night watching some youtube videos on t/a and stumbled across some stuff on volume spread analysis. sounds like it might have some merit, has anything like that been coded into MS? i've seen some of the other posts on here but they were from several years ago. thanks

biff
