I have a Quad Corte exteme, I have metastock 10.1 and would like to know if there is a way of using the system tester on more than one core.

I am trying to run a test with over 16 million possibilities, for over 90 minutes and still haven't gotten over 0%.

Would I have any gains by installing the Vista over the XP?

Is there a schedulle to make a patch so that the 16-hundred -dollar-software uses more cores?

I don't understand why, with all the money MetaStock has from all its customers, that they won't hire programmers to improve their software ... it's 2009 already and their latest greatest software looks and feels like it should be running on Windows 3.1! Metastock 2009 should be able to distribute its processing across as many cores as are available. Also, consider that their only major improvement from v9 to v10 was compatibility with Vista and the addition of a few *special/magical* indicators, please. Where is support for floating windows across multiple monitors? That's pretty much the reason Metastock has NOT remained the leader in trading software.

If you know how to code some C, you might be able to distribute the processing across 960 cores! Check this beauty out ... http://www.nvidia.com/object/product_tesla_s1070_us.html ... NVidia's Tesla one-teraflop processor ... but, then again, MS doesn't support multi-threading or multi-cores.
