Dear All : I am from Hong Kong . I dont know if there is anybody who face the same problem but he has already solution . I am an EOD version user but I am planning to upgrade so I would like to know more . For day trading , if I use Metastock pro to make an in/out order in futures market after the trading system generate a buy or close position signal in intraday such as Hong Kong but the broker does not support the software . What is the solution to do it automatically ? Do I need a little program interface such as Java or something ? ( I have started to leart java too so if it can help I will be more happy ) Or should I ask the broker more specifically whether they support MS pro or just do some setting works in the program to match their platform ? Or just quit the broker if he dont support it and to find another one and ask him to support MS pro ? (but at least I should know how to ask , such as what kind of specification the platform or interface I should have ?) Sorry to ask this if you think it is a dummy question as I am not an IT person . Please dont tell me to sit in front of the computer all day during the trading hours to watch and press the button manually . thanks . Thank you for your attention . If you have experience doing daytrade in HK market and know how to do it by MS pro . You are wellcome to email me at yau008@gmail.com . thanks again .

MS is a charting package used to assist in the decision making process, not a trading platform. In order to automate intraday trading from MS, you will need:
a broker which allows automated trading systems MS PRO and datafeed reliable communications connections and power supplies an API to allow MS alerts and signals to be sent to the broker as trades
There are many different brokers using many different A[censored], so there are many ways to achieve automated trading from MS. All of them come with considerable risk.
The "simplest" method is to write a function library for MS calling the broker API to pass trade information directly to the brokerage platform. You need to be able to compile a Win32 DLL for the MS side of things; I know this cannot be done in "vanilla" JAVA, but I am unsure of the capabilites of these new flavours of JAVA such as J++, J# and the .NET varieties.
Hope this helps.
