What exactly is happening? Which version of MetaStock are you trying to install?

If the installation is stopping at 100% extracted (After clicking Setup), it is very likely some other program (process) interfering with the Installshield Wizard.

-Press Ctrl-Alt-Delete and click the Processes tab.

-End all processes with your Windows User Name next to them, except:

explorer.exe

taskeng.exe

taskmgr.exe

dwm.exe

Try running the Setup again. If you're still having problems of this nature, you may need to "Show processes from all users" (In the lower left corner of the Task Manager-->Processes). There are a number of SYSTEM processes that are added from 3rd party programs as well as legitimate Windows processes, so this list is a bit more subjective on what you should End.

I had a similar problem on my sony UX computer. Make sure you are connected to a broadband internet connection and disable virus protection.

hi

Maybe you forgot to fix compatibility properties of setup.exe before run

so i think maybe this help u:

after select properties (on rightclick) in "compatibility" tab, u may mark item called: "run this program in compatibily for:" and select windows XP from combo box

after that, mark "run this program as an administrator" with selecting the check box at the bottom of the page.
