Hi, does anybody knows if Metastock 9.0 can do a scan like below?

Scan Chemical Manufacturing Industry for Stocks that has

1. 30MA crosses 50MA from the top,

3.Stochastic cross over 75% from the top and

3.MACD Sell Signal for a period of 3 days?

4. Stock is optionable.

For the first item, ask your data vendor if they can provide you with a list of securities in the Chemical Manufacturing Industry (or perhaps as a separate folder) and keep this folder up-to-date when constituents change.

The moving averages/stochastics/MACD can be easily coded. I highly recommend reading the Formula Primer to learn the language:
https://www.metastock.com/customer/resources/Formulas/Primer.aspx

The last item (optionable) is also similar to the first - you need to ask your data vendor whether there's a list or folder you can scan to see if the stock is optionable.

Do you have a list of Data Vendors where I can go to for the US market? Currently I only have the Metastock software but no data feed. I'm from Singapore and I'm not sure where to get data feed for US market for Stocks, Indexes and options.

You should go to Google and type in:
metastock end of day data
which will show a list of data vendor sites including the one below.

Cheers,
Richard.
