Good day
I subscribe to Reuters Datalink - European markets.
I used the downloader to set up all London Stock Exchange stocks in a folder on my C: drive called London. Start date was 01/01/2000. The downloader obliged and set them up automaticall with the information RDL provided (symbol, name etc)
I then tried updating the prices. And rec'd 'Invalid Symbol' error message for all!
Assuming London is still within Europe I am at a loss as to what to do. I have searched the boards here for some pointers but come across nothing. Given that The Downloader and Reuters set the instruments up I assume they know what they are doing.
Is anyone able to help?
Cheers
Steve

If you click on Tools-->Vendor Options and click Advanced, make sure you are set to the correct port. For Europe only data, the port number should be set to 7986. The port combinations are as follows:
Asian - 7984 Asian + North American - 7985 European - 7986 European + North American - 7987 Asian + European - 7988 All - 7989 North American - 7983 (The default setting)

Thank You - this has also solved my 'Invalid Symbol' Problem - I am UK based - the Port set by Reuters was invalid - although it was working at one point - so something must have reset it....
