Version 10 MetaStock
How do I get the y-axis setting to stay where I put it?
It always resets itself to "Auto"
I see someone else asked the same question 2 years ago and got no answer.
Poorly written software? Poor support? What's with that?

The forum is primarily designed to be a user-to-user experience. While I do try and answer any product specific questions, I will not be able to catch all the posts. The primary avenues for support are to call in or email. We also have online chat available during our support hours.
That said, the "Retain Scale" checkbox within the X-Axis Properties (Format-->X-Axis) locks the scale for both the X and Y Axis.

Thank you for catching my post.
Your suggestion solved my problem.
It was not apparent to me at all that the "Retain Scale" button affected both the Y and X Axis, since it's found only in the X-axis dialog box.
Perhaps you are also familiar with another problem that I'm having. I can't seem to copy and paste more than ONE text item from one chart to another (occassionally more than one item will paste, but usually not). Is there any work around for that, or is that just some bug in the current program?
Thanks again.

You would need to do this one object at a time, but there should be no limitation that would prevent you from copying multiple text items from one chart into another. What appears to happen when you try and copy/move them?
