Greetings:
In the Exploration Editor, under the Options button, one has the ability to choose the Exploration Periodicity. What I am wanting to confirm is: If an exploration is running on daily data but the weekly period is selected in the Editor, does the Exploration convert the daily data to weekly before running the calculations?
For instance, suppose I want to run an easy exploration to find stocks whose last close is above its 15-week simple moving average of the close. The exploration would be:
Col A: C > mov(C,15,S) and I select "Weekly" in Exploration Options.
If I am running the exploration on daily data with "Weekly" selected as the option, does MS actually calculate a 15-week SMA from the daily data?
I believe I'm correct, but I just want to make sure.
Thanks!
Jon

DUH
Okay, please disregard my question. I actually thought to look in the Help file and low and behold, my question was answered!
"Periodicity. Select the desired periodicity for the securities in the exploration. Security data will be compressed (if necessary) to match your selection. For example, daily security files can be compressed to weekly or monthly. Note that if you select "daily" periodicity, weekly, monthly, and yearly security files will be rejected since files cannot be compressed to a shorter periodicity."
