Cusing composite securities with Downloader

I am trying to create composite secs using dowloader as per the manual. Unfortunately I can not "look up" for the securities I need. The browser can only see the folders that came with the original CD.
Even if I use those securities there is no hystorical data in them.
Could anybody please help?
