As a Day Job holder wanting to be a day trader soon, I wish there is an option in Metastock Pro to simulate the real time data (repeat) as and when I need it.

For exmple, at 6 pm, I should be able to simulate today's chating as if it is happening now. This would allow the "would be day traders" to do practice trades and learn!.

This would also be a very good USP (Unique Selling Point) for Metastock as well.

I wish...I wish...

I always wanted something like that myself.
If you could create a function that given a specific time period colors the left of the this date in the chart the user choosen default color and everything right of this date the background color, the result would be to "hide" the future dates.
This "hat trick" would show only the old time periods but not the new as specified by the "date" you are on. (Even though all are written to the screen).
Then you would want two additional modules:
First is a set up module to select set up variables - like time period for "trade loop" - 30 seconds (every 30 seconds the color function is called to write to the screen the new colors, giving you a feel for moving in time., how you want to enter trade - close , next days open, etc.
Then the second function would be a statistics module: left click for buy, right click for sell which
updates a profit/loss , stats window with current states. and writes arrow to screen.
Not tough programming if that "color function" can be programmed.
Wonder if any of the equis programmers have thought of going this route. Or maybe Jose and/or Wabbit will tackle it as a science project. HeHe.
