It's been a while since I've done any indicators in/for Metastock 8 eod.

I just rejoined the forum to see if I could find more out about various adaptive filters (al la John Ehlers). In a search, I found a lot of discussion about them and many references to a forum.dll - which at one time could be download - from the download section - along with a description/manual.

I think I found the forum.dll at the "Traders Consortium" site but it's not clear that any documentation is with it.

Can someone give me a description of the forum.dll and/or point me to documentation?

Also, I'd appreciate any hints/pointers about turning stochastic and rsi into their adaptive counterparts

Thanks

Bob Mc

The manual for the Forum DLL can be found here.

http://forum.equis.com/files/default.aspx

Patrick revised the DLL several times and the manual was created prior to the current version so it's understandable that there are a few anomalies. Wabbit wrote the manual and I believe he is currently working on an update for the DLL. You can extract the syntax for each function by checking out the DLL's contents using the "function" button in the Indicator Builder (I'll assume you know how to do this).

From memory I believe that one or two functions do not work correctly. For the most part, though, this DLL is a very useful tool and solves a number of MetaStock issues.
