Perhaps, something's set to read-only

Open My Computer
Right click on C:\MetaStock Data (or where your data is stored)
Select Properties
Uncheck Read-only
Click OK
If it prompts a dialog, select to Apply changes to this folder, subfolders, and files

How do you "put it back correctly"? Resize/restore an inner window, make a new chart, etc.?

wblam,

After you have changed the chart back to how you want it to look do you save the changes?

If you do save the changes then in which area are you saving them - Chart / Template / SmartChart?

oztrader,

Thank you for your reply.

I normally let MS auto save it as SmartChart and it should save any changes made.

joetrade69,

Thank you for your reply.

I "put it back correctly" by resize the inner window.

Since no reply after I posted for number of days. I have used a stupid way by delete the affected files in the "MSSmart" folder.

Although this method cause me have to re-enter all notes I had put into the chart and lines I had draw. It back to normal.
