Dear together,
i wanna put 2 diffrent Data Feeds With Diffrent Timeframne Together.
Is This With MetaStock 8.0 Realtime Pro Possible ?
For Example ...
I have EURUSD daily data since 2004 and EURUSD weekly data since 1999 !
I am using this both data with 2 diffrent Tickers and Symbols - EURUSD_d & EURUSD_w !
My Key Question is :
IS IT POSSBILE TO PUT THIS BOTH DATA TOGETHER IN ONE SYMBOL
I think this shouldn`t be a big problem !? !? !?
I`ve tried this with MERGE in THE DOWNLOADER but i couldn`t get it !!!
Can everyone help me or give me support or basic instructions to get it !?
thanks ahead

I realized it tonight ...
MetaStock creates individual tzimeframe data files and if there`s
enough data - for example 1min - then the data can be compressed into
30 or 60 min chart, of course !!!
But Weekly data file can`t be reduced to a daily data !!!
Of Course - What A Silly Question ...

This is correct, there is no way to pull Daily values out of Weekly data. Merging data can also only occur when the Periodicities are the same and the number of data fields (Open/High/Low/Close/Volume/Open Interest) are the same. You could open a Daily chart in MetaStock and compress this data to Weekly, then Copy/Paste the price bars into a New DataSheet in the DownLoader and then merge this data with another Weekly file, but it sounds like you were trying to go the other direction, taking the Weekly Data and Merging it into a Daily file, which is not possible.

Pyradius,
I had a question regarding displaying 2 charts with different periods on the same chart... I download data from the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis Database (FRED) and convert them using Convert2ms software.
This is a sample of the data from the first file.
2006-12-31,5.85415
2007-01-31,5.46673
2007-02-28,5.61090
2007-03-31,4.71221
2007-04-30,4.56137
2007-05-31,3.99920
2007-06-30,3.53760
2007-07-31,3.43911
2007-08-31,3.19750
2007-09-30,3.26815
and this is a sample of the data from another file from the same database
2005-01-01,69.3
2005-04-01,12.2
2005-07-01,5.8
2005-10-01,60.5
2006-01-01,44.3
2006-04-01,59.5
2006-07-01,62.8
2006-10-01,20.0
2007-01-01,-1.6
2007-04-01,5.1
2007-07-01,16.7
As you can see, the data from the first file is released monthly and the second file is released quarterly, they also have weekly, annually and some other odd times (like the 28th day of every of quarter). Metastock will chart this data fine individually, but when you want to combine both of these charts on one chart, that creates and problem and it goes back to displaying the data in dots instead of one line. How should I solve this problem?
Thanks,
Tika

I think you are getting dots because your chart has a property - 'price style' set to 'bars (high, low, close)'. Change the property to 'line' and the dots will join up.
