I am using metastock ver 8. I find it impossible to write any formula based on weekly data because my input are daily data. For example,
1) to detect the weekly cross over of William %R
2) to detect weekly price bar crossing over the weekly moving average.

Does metastock ver 9 or 10 overcome this problem?

Can anyone provide a way to write formula for weekly using daily data?

Thanks.

hey uzoom.... metastock will convert your daily data to weekly.... also if your downloading data from someone such as qc or esignal you can download in the weekly time frame....

when it comes to ploting weekly formulas on daily charts, roy larson just about has that market cornered.....

many times you can just multiply the indicator by 5 to get a very close approximation..... as an example to plot the weekly willr(10) on a daily chart you can plot the willr(50)........h

Thanks hayseed. I am not getting data from any venders but you do give me an idea to combine the daily data into weekly data. Need people like you to inject good ideas into my rusty brain.

I will take a look at the website. Thanks for the site. Looks good.

I have tried using multiple of 5 to estimate weekly data before. The estimation is not good even if I tried at the end of a week (Sat/Sun).
