Hi, I am new to Metastock and I am trying to understand Explorer. One of the things I wanted to do was to filter securities by MACD() values for latest day and day-1. But I cannot any way how to calculate it. All i get is MACD() for 'today'.
Any ideas you could share?

Dragonik,
Welcome to the Forum.
Have a look in your MS Users Manual for the Ref() function. It will do what you require.
NOTE : Unless you want to get really technical, the Ref() function will not return the value on the previous DAY, it will return the value of the previous BAR. If the equity trades every day and you're looking at a daily chart, then yes, the Ref() will return the value of the previous day, but if it is a thinly traded equity the previous bar might be representing the last trading day that might have happened days/weeks/months/years ago.
Hope this helps.

P.S. You might also like to look p the ROC() or "rate of change" function too.
