Logic is --

Friends in the above formula the TROUGH of MACD is HISTOGRAM and not the LINE MACD. Formula required for trough of MACD HISTOGRAM (12,26,9) So please keep into cosideration suggesting Formula.

Hi Shiree, Welcome to the Forum. Before you keep going with this train of thought that you hace started, please have a VERY CAREFUL read of the MS Users Manual and the Forum for the dangers associated with using dynamic indicators such as Peak(), Trough(), Zig(), LastValue() etc. Once you are aware of the dangers these indicators pose, perhaps you can suggest to us methods that you might like to use to define when a trough has formed... or even better, consider purchasing Jose's excellent All-In-One-Divergence Toolkit, see : http://www.metastocktools.com/MACDH/96diverg.htm

Shiree,
Once you have read through the MS USers Manual to discover the dangers associated with working with hindsight based or dynamic indicators, then have a work through the free Equis Formula Primer (availablefor free download from the files section).
When faced with a programming challenge, break the problem down into its smallest components and code each piece of the puzzle seperately. Eventually you will have all the pieces of the problem, then put them together...
Armed with this knowledge you should be able to make an atempt at coding your condition. Please have a go at doing this yourself first. Should your code not work, post your attempt here and I am sure someone will point out where any errors are.
