hey kadip.... use the downloader to open each of the charts data file.... once it is opened you'll see the name, symbol and so on..... change the name to anything you like and save..... there is a character limit to the name but most often your name should fit..... don't change the symbol, only the name..... your layouts should now open with your name.... h

Thanks Hayseed-
That changes the security description i guess- ive got say 4 charts in a template/layout- i want 1 to read "Trend analysis" the second- Oscillators, etc but all 4 deal with the same security-
the system default is that all charts have the layout name, with chart 1,2,3,4 etc- i dont think your approach via the downloader would change that would it?

hey kadip.... your correct, my method would not work in that situation..... you could use the " insert text" option and place in any window the terms, Trend analysis and so on.... you would want to choose the option not to anchor to date..... that allows the text to float in the same location as the chart progresses in time......h
