Have any one try to let MS Excel read Metastock Data, and if not!

Please try to help me with this idea, it is useful to import data (Daily or Intraday) and make many options in excel.

Waiting your Tips.....

Have you tried a "Copy & Paste" from The Downloader?

You can also select an object in a chart by left clicking on it (Indicators, price data, etc) and use Ctrl-C to copy to the clipboard, and then use Ctrl-V to paste into Excel.

Pyradius, thats pretty nice. I don't know if it helps the original poster, but it is a lot easier than writing the values on paper when writing new code {not that I have done that of course}. I have seen it on the right click menu many times but never thought to check what it did....

Thanks for the post

Hi almxalm

I don't use Metastock but if it can export its data into an ascii file (preferably comma or tab delimited) then loading the data into Excel is straight forward.

1) In Excel, go to File > Open

2) Select the outputed ascii file from metastock

3) Then simply follow the prompts and your nose

Good luck

bb :)
