Hi all,

I am trying to develop a trading system which seems work fine in EOD data, i.e. profitable. When applying to intraday data, it is not that promising, especially for short trades.

Well, I want to add some trade filter(s) to try to filter out some obvious trades. Can anyone suggest any good methods?

At the present moment, I can think of a few:-

For Long Entry:-

1) Stochcastic is not overbought;

2) Moving average, say M7 > M23;

3) Moving average M7 is trending up;

4) M7 at a higher timeframe is trending up

Could any experienced trader provide a smarter / viable way to just filter out some unprofitable trades, especially for the short entries?

Does anyone use PP+ with STC to act as a trade entrance filter?.... I remember Henry as said this or similar issue somewhere in the forum.

Welcome any more interesting ideas!
