I am wondering if MetaStock will work on MS Windows Vista?

I haven't had any luck getting MS 9.0 to run on a trial version of Vista (RC1) 64 bit. Are you using the 32 bit edition of Vista and MS Pro 9.0?

I have been unable to run Metastock v.10 on Windows Vista RC1. Called up technical support who confirmed that Metastock is not compatible with Vista. I am quite surprised since I would expect the latest version to be ready for the long awaited OS. A number of people will start upgrading next month. Many will be frustrated when they realise that their Metastock does not work with Vista, and they will have to forfeit their new Vista OS if they wish to continue their trading. It would be much appreciated if Equis can address this issue as soon as possible. No doubt Equis must be working on this by now (it'd be ridiculous if they haven't started). Two suggestions in the meantime:

  1. Schedule a patch for Metastock, and announce the schedule on their website.
  2. Contact all customers through email / mail and inform them of the issue, so that they will not purchase Vista.

MetaStock 10 works fine on Vista. I am running the released version of Vista (Ultimate) and I have no problems with MetaStock
