I store Real Time Tick Data In Metastock Format.

But when no. of records increases above 65000 the file gets corrupted.

How to store the data.

Any ways of connecting the fileserver to local csv files.

Help will be very helpful to me.

Thank You

That is strange. The file should not get corrupted, but 65500 is the maximum number of records in a security file. The old ticks in the file should get discarded as new ticks arrive at the bottom. What is happening to the files to lead you to believe they are corrupted?

Mr. Pyradius,

If the limit of about 65000 records remains in version 10 also?

Regards

The limit with version 10 is still 65500. This is not something we have ever seen. Each time the file gets to 65500 in size, we remove 10% of the oldest ticks from the data file. We would need to set up a Data Server capture and a DAL log to see what is happening there. You would likely want to contact our support department for this so that we can set this up and review the log files.
