Hi Branden,
I really appreciate your willingness to go out there within this thread. Something most user's would like to see more of I am sure. BS can be smelled a mile away, but it sounds like your an honest developer, trying to work out what the problem is, and address it if he can.
Please let it be noted to the troops, "the natives are very restless"
If it was not for Roy and Jose, .... I would begin to wonder about recommending the product to any new users ....

I'm sorry you feel that way. I'm glad the forums are here.
I'm also sorry I can't be of much help. I used to work in support (for about a year), but that was a few years ago and I don't remember enough to help anymore.
I'd post more often, but all I can really help now is the MDK and the DownLoader. MS has changed too much and I've forgotten too much.
I thought we had support and sales people in here posting. Is that not true anymore?

Way too much money for a bug-fix allowing a few windows to be resized - nothing else in 10 holds any interest for me, and RMO is smelling to me like a big nothing (and I'm being charitable; I was going to type something else). We'll see what v11 has to offer. Thanks very much for your participation and info.

Let me say this.
I'd started using metastock 7 years ago, version 6.something, and during
the following years I also used tradestation and wealthlab.
My goal was
to find the best language to start with. Tradestation seemed much more
comprehensive in terms of writing and reading the formula itself. Then came
wealthlab and again, a much more comprehensive language for the newbie
guy.
Unfortunately none of them had what MS has, versatility in work with
the chart manually, meaning writing on it, designing trendlines, zoom in/out
well, every manually aspect of manipulating a chart.
I read somewhere
long time ago that the problem with MS is not the language restrictions itself
but what people want to do with them. People are always trying to do the
impossible. It's like when you blame others for your own mistakes.
I love
MS, and because of that I decided to forget the existence of other
languages. Roy, Jose and others shows us all that it is possible to work with
MSFL and do virtually everything that we want. Certainly that MSFL has a lot of
handicaps in terms of readability. Just thinking how wealthlab scripts look like
with different colours for statements and functions.
One thing must me
said though, wealthlab although having one of the best supports team I ever saw,
when they were bought by Fidelity that support went way down. In terms of
help given by the forum users, well they are hand to hand with what we see here
and other MS forums. They are always ready to help you.
In terms of MS10
itself, it's a disappointing release, no doubt about it although I decided to
pay the $499 for it. It was a kind of statement that I need to do for myself for
personal reasons that I don’t need discuss here.
Maybe MS11 can
produce something worthwhile.
Meanwhile, MS for me personally, it's the
best thing for TA.
Regards arnie
