I looked in the help files and the formula primer but the +DI and the -DI are not there.I am talking about coding

Here it is from the help file for you:
Minus Directional Movement
SYNTAX mdi( PERIODS )
FUNCTION Calculates the predefined Minus Directional Movement indicator.
EXAMPLE mdi( 14 )
Plus Directional Movement
SYNTAX pdi( PERIODS )
FUNCTION Calculates the predefined Plus Directional Movement indicator.
EXAMPLE pdi( 14 )
