Hi,
I'm trying to change the parameter for the DT Trndline (longer term) <manual> indicator setting. However, it makes no sense to me when I see "% move (low = shorter term): 9". Please advise. I just want to shorten the automatic longer term trendline. Could not find any reference in MS Manual.
Also what is "DT". Please advise.
Thanks,
Joe

Joe,
DT stands for "Dynamic Trading Tools" which is the add-in that is included with the newer versions of MS.
The number you enter is the percentage price difference for the stock to move to draw the trendlines. Precisely how it works is known to Equis who have the copyright. I don't think I have ever seen a users manual for these indicators....

There is a pdf manual that comes with the indicators.

I should have been more precise...
I have never seen a users manual SPECIFICALLY for these indicators. The general DT Manual that installs with MS is more a general overview of how to drop the indicators on the chart, create explorations etc; it does not delve into how each of the indicators is formed, the use of the different parameters in the different markets, the employment of the indicators in the markets etc. The Manual does not explicitly describe each and every indicator.
See the BM Manual for a demonstration of what a Users Manual could contain... each indicator is individually referenced, detailed and explained.
