Hi, Does anyone know that which file(s) stores the values of "Application Properties" under Metastock \\ Tools Options? i.e. the real-time setting; the files folders under real-time \\ Configure Server \\ Files Update There are two reasons why I ask this:- 1) It makes life easier if I reinstall it, so that it is much easier to restore the application settings under MS. 2) I normally trade a few local securities and futures. In order to let MS run more efficiently, I only set MS to update those data I trade under the local trading time. However, my local data provider also update Forex data, S&P, precious metals, etc. I would like to let MS update these once the local stock market is closed. Now, I do it manually to let MS the other folders once the local market is closed. If there are only one file (under Program Files \\ Equis \\ Metastock \\ ) remembers the settings of the above, it would make life easier as I can copy two groups of settings and just switch the application settings from one to another by copy and paste the file...... sa

I finally resolve it by myself...... The values of "Application Properties", under Metastock \\ Tools Option, are neither stored in the folder under Program Files \\ Equis \\ Metastock \\; nor in the folders under Program Files \\ Common Files \\ Equis....... guess where these values are stored..... They are stored under the folders under HKEY_Current_User \\ Software \\ Equis \\. Well, if you want a backup copy of your setting in MS, just "export" the folder of Equis onto a .reg file. Click it next time when you re-install MS or when you want to restore the setting..... it is quick!! sa
