all the federalies say,
they could of had'em anyday
they only let him slip away
out of kindness i suppose,,,,,, willie and merl singing about pauncho and lefty.......
alan greenspan once sang he knew how to beat the kondratieff winter...... mighty bold statement mr al..... but federalies have a habit of making bold statements.....
can we really skip the winters.... sure, nothing to it..... just pack up and move to another hemisphere every 6 months.....
can we beat the kondratieff winters..... hmmmmm..... might be wise to prepare for them just in case, metastock can help....
g lately has been talking about ibd and value line, both are excellent..... if indeed a winter is looming , mixing a little fundamentals with meta's technicals might offer a degree of protection from the monetary frostbite..... we can take those fundamental speadsheets and thru hyperlinks open charts in meta..... that way the folders/tickers in a sense can be sorted by pe, eps and such..... then with a simple click, open our meta charts..... it might seem difficult at first glance, it's not.....
there are many free sites that offer fundamental data.... and of course we shouldn't forget about quotecenter.....
spaceant had a good question about the copy function in the downloader..... for the most part we concentrate on sym files to create folders and then just download the data..... using the downloaders copy function will allow you to chose between all the tickers but also copy the dta file for the ticker you've selected.... so as your adding symbols to your custom folder your adding the data also..... providing the mother folder your copying from had data.... its a handy way to prefill folders.... you have the option copy smart charts, or not, and to delete the source.....
multiple monitors are handy but meta works well with one.... ever noticed how when you have 5 or 6 realtime layouts open it seems the one your interested in at the moment is never on top.... why is that..... you could scratch thru the pile and find what your huntin but dang that sure makes a mess..... just click on the associated layout icon on your lower custom tool bar.... that will bring your 'just gotta have now' layout front and center in a second....
every now and then when editing formulas is seems ghosts of formulas past resurface.... no need to call jerry springer or the national inquirer , its just edit oddities.....h
