hey sa.... 1) Using Downloader \\ Tools \\ Copy to copy the selected securities into a folder 2) Make the folder being updated realtime under Metastock \\ Tools \\ Option \\ Configure Server \\ Files Update; and delete all other folders using number 1 as you mentioned is just a fast way to recreate folders pre-filled with data..... it just copies the dta files from the mother folder and associated smart charts if you want them also..... yes, the second step is how to set that new folder for realtime and yes remove the other folders from the realtime list if unneeded.... to arrange the securities/futures by some method other than alpha order, meta's default method, just copy and add them to your new folder one at a time in the order you want them to be in, chronlogical, market cap, shares outstanding.... whatever method you want them listed by........ in the case of 30 tickers it will not involve adding over a couple minutes to the task.... they will stay in the order you added them..... i noticed earlier you mentioned having a large number of tickers being updated in realtime..... that should not cause meta to crash but will sure slow things down...... it would help to keep that list to a minimum...... sounds like that's what your doing now.......h
