Hello , dear .
First of all , please accept my apology if I post to the wrong section in this forum .
In fact , I think number of section here shoulde be combined to few more compact section too as sometimes the topic are common that we don't know where should we put it .
About the topic , I have just finished an excel file with my colleague who know how to write excel code .We copied the system test result to an excel sheet and he did some macro command on it . The spread sheet now can calculate the maximum drawdown and final profit of every trade and make them into two columns and also the most runup and profit of every trade . This is for the graph plotting of Maximum Adverse Excursion & Maximum Favorable Excursion .
The last thing we need here is , my kind colleague dont know how to plot the x, y column of maximum drawdown/ profit , runup/ profit on a graph . Although I can do it manually from excel to plot it into a chart ,
I would like to do it in a more automatic way . Anyway , the macro is finished here . All I need is someone who know how to write some little VBA codes for words or excel that it can plot all the figures of x-axis(max drawdown %), y-axis (profit %) and x-axis(max. runup %) & y-axis(profit % ) into two graph . Then it is all done .
If we can have this graph , we can improve our trade by visual inspection of all the trades performance about maximum excursion and favorable excursion by setting better stop loss percentage and profit taking point .
Who know how to write this code . Please email me I can email you the excel file but please try to show me by your file of x , y axis to plot into a graph first .
It will be perfect to have two graphs on a page word document by just one click . What else can I expect ^_^ .
Thanks for reading .

If you send me the file I will have a look at it for you.
I will not make any promises about getting it back to you in very quick time, as I have University exams coming up. I will use your project as a distraction, but I will finish whatever needs doing eventually.
Its up to you.
wabbit :D

Hey Swordman-
I will be happy to help you with this. If all you need is a graph of data you already have generated, it should be pretty easy. Probably little to no VBA required for that macro. It may be as simple as recording your key strokes with the macro recorder and playing it back. In fact, you might be able to do it yourself. I'd need the XLS file to see.

I agree that some of the topics are multi-covered and have been last minute rearranging and condensing some of them as you now see. It will hopefully be a little easier as we go forward. You have to try things for a while to see what works and what doesn't... it took a little while for me to figure it out. Anyway, you're preaching to the choir since we are the ones having to sort all of these threads... lots of work that is never finished. So, I hear ya! Thanks.
