sorry if you think I post too much in the same day . As far as I remember I watch an article . In new version of MS , there is a function to specify the number of bars/day in system tester to set the fix day/bar of holding but I cannot find it through the manual . Did I miss something or it is only available in MS pro version ? (I am using EOD ) . I am still using the old dump method in the inactivity stop , to set it 1000% for X days , something like that . :(

no sir , I mean the bars of holding a position after you opened it . That means for example , if you want to close all your position whatever you opened after 5 days .I remember a saw an article in TASC . Someone wrote something that is a function to control it by set it to a value of 5 . I still use the old dump trick in the incctivity stop , setting a big amount , eg , 100 % change for five days to close the position . It is or course not a good way as we cannot optionmize it . :?

Swordman The function to measure the age of a position is Simulation.CurrentPositionAge. You will probably find that your present method is better - the Simulation function slows down testing significantly (some would say unacceptably so). Roy MetaStock Tips & Tools
