I’m getting conflicting info from the Equis help desk and the lines are tied up now so I'll try here. Does anyone know if the Reuters Canadian TSX EOD data can be downloaded into sector folders? I'd loaded the data from the disk supplied with 9.1 and have checked and rechecked the data structure, I can't see how it would be done. Thanks for any help!

There is a Sectors And Industries list in the Symbol Database provided in MetaStock and the DownLoader.
However, it is only for US Stocks.
I don't believe we have a list of Canadian sectors, but if you do, then yes, you can create you data in that structure.
MetaStock and the Downloader allow you to create your local data folder in any different structure you want.
The symbol database merely helps you to find symbols. It is not there to define any sort of required structure.

If it's any help, the URSC tool-kit also comes complete with a Canadian S&P GICS Sector & Industry Group setup.
The result is that all Canac securities can be placed in any MetaStock data folder format (A~Z, etc), and the URSC kit will then sort them by their respective TSX GICS Sectors & Industry Groups.
