Iowa_investor.... I am not sure too sure how to break this news to you.... MetaStock is a technical analysis and charting tool. What you describe, especially for the EOD variant of MS is relating to fundamental anlaysis. If you had purcahsed the RealTime of MS i.e. MS 9.2 for QuoteCenter, then you would have access to fundamental information as well as the technical stuff. I think you have purchased the wrong product for your intended trading. You might like to plead your case with Equis, who may give you a good upgrade deal?? but thats up to them. OR you can simply use Excel with whatever data you can find to create your watchlist, and import that list into MS?? wabbit :D

Thanks for the reply. I have not purchased MS yet. I understand MS is a technical analysis tool but was wondering if it has features that were able to scan companies / stocks that have options, etc. II

MS will scan/chart whatever company data you feed it, so long its date, open, high, low, close, volume and open interest data! MS9.2 w/ QC on the other hand will do a lot more. Its like Henry Ford once said, "It comes in any colour you want, so long as its black!" wabbit :D P.S. Its nice to see someone do some research BEFORE they buy the product, instead of purchasing something then complaining it doesn't do what they wanted it to do. Well done. Hope to see you around more when you eventually settle on which is the right product for you. I am sure the Sales Team at Equis will look after you.

Thanks again for the heads-up. I went to Equis.com and watched the online demo for MS V9.1 EOD https://www.metastock.co...fday/metastock/?overview and was very impressed with the software. I would prefer MS9.2 but my "day job" would not allow it. II PS Bugs Bunny Rules!!

You might research the MetaMarket Plus add-on. If you are set on EOD, perhaps it will compliment MS in the manner you are seeking. I have never used it myself, but the question has come up in the past, so I remembered it as a resource. HTH, G

My question was: "Does MetaStock 9.1 EOD have the capabilities to scan for stocks with user setings like low P/E ratios, splits, optionable, volume minimum, etc? Thanks." Their reply: "Yes Metastock EOD does have that capability. If you want to purchase that I'll be able to give you some training that we normally sell for $200 and I'll give that to you FREE. Please let me know if you want to do that because I do get credit for helping you out. Let me know thanks." I purchased MS v9.1 EOD from Wall Street Software for $399 special. http://www.wallstreetsoftware.com/whatisMetaStock.html

Unfortunately as i understand from your Message you need Fundamental Data. I want to note that i use the Product MetaMarket+ from Paritech in combination with Metastock 9.1 Pro for E-Signal. The reason for to use it, is that working together with my favourite Metastock. I want to note that i am very dissapointed with MetaMarket+ . The Fundamental Data that provide is very little for my Needs. I had contact if i remember well 2 times with Paritech, asking for improvement the MetaMarket+ with more Fundamental Data and more Fundamental Formulas for use from the Explorer, into Metastock, without to exist finally that. Also i do not know if exist any other Company to have Fundamental Analysis Program and Tools for cooperation with Metastock. If anyone know something, please provide us with more Informations and Sites. Kind Regards, George Kanellopoulos.

I use DataBull to download my EOD data and the upgrade to this program will scan stocks based on fundamental requirements input by the user. http://www.qpik.net/quot..._new_in_this_version.htm http://www.usecinternational.com/quotes4u/
