I am havinbg trouble in saving the format of my layout. For instances, I want the daily chart of 4 commodities and next to them the 10 m charts, with my indicators, and different sizes of charts. So I woiuld have 8 charts in the *mwl file. DAily bigger than 10 m. One slightly hiding the other, as per Hayseed's unseen post. But when I save it, then open it again, the layout has gone, and it reloads with the automatic tiling. How can I change this attribute if at all? Thnaks, J. : :( eek:

hey iphilosophise..... never really thought about it that way but your cookie analogy is quite accurate.... meta doesn't use cookies but dta files..... all instructions for layouts are contained in the layouts dta file in the charts folder.... there are some obscure quirks to layouts , this is one of'em..... unless told otherwise meta has some default settings it uses from time to time..... meta will also occasionally remember our last preference and use it ..... the autotile arrangement of layouts is one..... to hide charts behind , first arrange them using the column form..... save the layout just as it is..... you should be seeing all the charts including the ones your interested in hiding behind...... now rearrange the charts to you liking..... and save again.... the hidden should stay hidden.....h
