when I go to plot an indicator a message comes up the "an msx.dll has triggered an access violation error. Referenced dll: Forum.varref. When I go to check the functions list, the forum has been made to disappear. I have to close the metastock program and reopen it to get the forum.dll to reappear. I DID DO A SCAN FOR VIRUSES, TROJUNS ETC WITHTHE LATEST nORTON UPDATES. nOTHING WRONG I had to switch back to the older forum becuase the new one seemed even more unstable. Any ideas?

Patrick was the one doing the Forum.DLL. He no longer works for Equis. He has said he may try to work ond the DLL to finish the latest suggestions and bugs, but won't have as much time to spend on it. You can try sending a PM to Patrick to see if he is aware of the problems and will be looking at them. You can also try fixing it yourself. In the downloads section, the source code is provided for the Forum.DLL

thanks for the reply. I took a look at the source code. I am afraid it is too advanced for me.

I just though of something ...
Quote:
Referenced dll: Forum.varref.
Are you using a minus sign in there? Because if you do you will get errors. This function does not look forward, so for example: ExtFml("Forum.Ref",C,5) is the same as Ref(C,-5) Patrick
