Can anyone tell me the major differences? Apparently, Power Pivots is a black box add-on where you can't see exactly how data is being sorted whereas with Trade Oracle you can. Can Power Pivots be used to improve a system you've already designed or is that more of a Trade Oracle specialty?

Power Pivot add-onn is to measure a time frame , you can look on Henry Power Pivot lab, he is guy who specialize in this add-onn Definition: pivot is a specific point - in terms of time and price - when a shift in balance has occurred between buyers and sellers. These market turning points typically represent where a change in trend has occurred, or is occurring. At the core of PowerPivots Plus is a proprietary algorithm that not only detects these pivots, but also evaluates their significance and strength. Trade oracle is a advanced trading system if you own performance system plus is just upgrade to this product you can save some money when you call to equis sale department and ask if they can give you discount because you already own performance system plus (if you own one) , it contain more indicator and system back test for improving trading. You can either read more information on trade oracle directly from equis web site https://www.metastock.co...ts/product.aspx?c=2&p=44 or call Sale Department and they can help you with that at +1 (800) 508-9180 Open from 7am to 5pm Mountain Time or email them at sales@equis.com

Trade Oracle is just a fancy version of Performance Systems Plus. It will tell you the top 3 performing systems for a stock. They cannot be altered and the code is an external function with little explanation. PowerPivots Plus has black box systems, but it includes External functions that can be used to design several systems, custom indicators. it includes some explanations on how to use some of the external functions.

Thank you, Konrad & Henry. Although Trade Oracle's system matching sounds good, I'm not crazy about turning over my trading thought process to a software program. It sounds like Power Pivots, while black box, might incorporate my own ideas easier.

TO allows you to trade from 90 systems. They are either long, short or both, where PP+ has systems that are also long short or both, but trend direction, when used as a filter will allow you to trade with the trend

I'm a little unclear what this means. Are you saying PP+ is better for determining trends? Thanks for your responses.

the TO systems go like this a system will give buy or sell signals, it's up to you to determine whether to go long, exit long, go short, or exit short positions, or to trade it as a stop and reverse system IE: go long, then go short, always in the market With a filter, you can design a system to go long entry if the C > 200 Ma, exit the position if still above the 200 Ma to take profits and become neutral, buy the retracement, exit the position again till the next retracement. and if the Close is under the 200 ma then a sell signal will give you a short position, a buy signal will then really be a close short and so forth
