HI I use metastock pro 9 and metaserver RT 3.2 demo (metaserver rt runs correctly it has "green status" and working fine) I configure metaserver rt and metastock (eneble real time , make new security etc like for examle here : http://www.forexhsi.com/ddhelp/metastock_dde.php (but i do not use omega I use x-trader) but in metastock chart is nothing nothing's happen I think that it is MS error I reinstal metastock nad I notice that when i install it there is no screen "Select Real-time Vendor" (like first screen here http://www.bcs.ru/brok_rus/quik/faq/exportms.asp and there is no other 2 screnns like this http://www.datafox.com.cn/BIG5/help/metastock.html -first two) maybe my metastock installer is brocken ( whsn i try repair it it cannot found "metastockesignal.msi" file) please help and thank for help :)

Hey nooldor- Welcome to the forum! Sounds like this might be a question for the folks at Metaserver RT. Does the demo allow you to actually receive data? If so, it might be worth connecting it to another platform such as Excel (if that is possible) to prove to yourself that it really is working (green light or no green light). Your MS Pro was designed to work with a specific data provider... depends on which version you ordered. It is not looking for Metaserver when it installs, so it won't give you an option to select it. This is not a problem... it's by design. Whatever Metaserver has done to enable you to use 3rd party streaming data, it probably needs to be troubleshot with them.

Just a FYI, only MetaStock Pro for eSignal has the option to choose a real-time vendor. MetaStock Pro for QuoteCenter and QCharts do not give you the option.

GUYS (metaserver RT works correctly) I have MetaStock professional ver 9 online data vendor: eSignal real-time data vendor : DBC Signal so should I options of choose vendor when I install MS ? If yes maybe I should uninstall MS in very specific way (delete some register keys or somewhat ?) I try uninstall it with special programs , manual ... but it doesn't give anything ...and BTW whan I want repair it I wants mettastockesignal.msi file but I haven't got it oon my HD...please help( maybe a litte crack or hack for this problem :) ) P.S sorry for my English P.S II and maybe some others programs to real time quotations (now I use server MT4) which will work fine (and maybe with MS in off-line mode)?

None of this actually makes any sense to be honest. Is this some hacked/modified version of MS 9 Pro? First off the "Select a Realtime Vendor" is a core portion of the "InstallShield" so it's pretty much impossible for it not to come up if it installs at all. Second, MS Pro 9 for eSignal was written using "InstallShield" not the Microsoft Installer (.MSI)...

Well... I confused about how you know Metaserver is really working. Certainly you aren't just basing that on an indicator?? Seems like I can recall something similar being asked before, but the search engine is basically hosed at the moment. Anyway, as Pyradius pointed out, just reinstall the program and select your vendor when prompted. If you are still experience difficulty, call the folks at Metaserver to ask them how to set it up with MS. They support MS, not the other way around.

I have written on Metaserver forum and they said that Metaserver Rt support MS and when I descripe how Metaserver works on my comp they said everything is ok ......I dont know ...does anybody know special tricks to uninstall completly MS (and maybe when I do this window with choose vendor appear on instalation - i reinstal MS i normal way few times but this do nothing Thank for replay form my questions and I am waiting for more ...

the what you said is ok. I mean the environment.

You should make sure that the symbol in RT is as same as the symbol in MS 9.

You should start Equis real-time configuation,

file update -> find the intraday file where you give.

And you should check you have start "file server" and "data server"

finally you open MS pro, you will find the data is ok.
