Not trying to bust your jewels here :lol: But the reason I do not post videos in an AVI or MPEG format is because of the size ... You see these little 30 meg videos would actually be 256 MB a piece as an avi file ... And I can't post files that big on the forum, and it would take you many cd's and even 2 dvd's to fit everythign in ... Anyways ... Where are you going with this? :) Patrick :mrgreen:

Well, actually I was thinking about how unuseful the raw SWF format is for the average user. It can't be viewed alone (without Flash software)... or in a browser (without a plug-in). It can be viewed on-line as a streaming video, but if you clear your cache, it would have to d/l again. I mean, the object is to be able to view the video over and over again without a hassle. Raw SWF just doesn't do it. Really, who is streaming this stuff off the net every time they want to view it? If you right-click and save to disk... then what? It's just not user friendly. Where am I going with this? Hmm... just offering some alternatives for the non-tech folks. Choices are good. Yes, AVI consumes a lot of space, but it is completely universal amongst Microsoft users; MPEG is a little smaller and can be played on most of the popular players that I'm aware of. I'd be willing to host the files (at least temporarily) if space is a problem. SWF compiled might be the best solution (size wise) if we could get that format posted on the forum. I brought that up a while ago and got the feeling that it was more useful to you in other venues. The bottom line is that the best training in the world will be useless if it can't be utilized by the average Joe.
