I want to chart each indice sector (eg be able to bring up a chart of the EnergyIndustrials/Materials etc Sectors). I have created a folder in dataDirector that seems to have the indices in it, but I cannot seem to bring it up through Metastock. Can someone please advise on the process of bringing up each sector in chart format. Thanks

Just as an addit to the above: when I bring up a chart after an exploration, is there an easy way to find which sector that stock belongs to? Thanks again!

hey adl..... if the folder you created is in the metastock data folder with the others, it should open like the others... have you noticed any error messages when you downloaded data to it.... or are you recieving any type errors when trying to open a chart from it.... the results of an exploration list the folder each returned security came from.... so the easiest way to know the sector is by scaning the main folder 'stocks grouped by sector'......h

This is one of the automatic functions in the URSC tool kit. It automatically matches the current chart to its native GICS sector index, and displays the matched index. BTW, S&P will make relatively minor changes to the GICS table this April. Latest here. jose '-
