I use MSX PRO for Esignal, I dont know why people Download and need EOD data if they have esignal as they data provider? I have read Power Pivot manual and they tell to download EOD data( not only this plug in require to download EOD data) and test it why not to test on Esignal Real Time? is something diffrent between test EOD and Esignal RT? Thank you very much!

hey traderb.... there are several reasons to download..... as far as back-testing systems goes, it's far faster using local data than back-testing realtime.... as for scaning for buy/sells with a system, an eod trader might be spinning his wheels scaning realtime and a realtime trader might be biting his fingernails waiting on the nitely download....h

Actually the Downloader is the way to maintain all of your local securities. It will do many things... there is a list on p. 64 of the 9.0 Pro User's Manual. With a QC subscription, Datalink is included at no extra charge. A pretty good deal by any standard.
