How does the default template work?
I added couple moving averages and clicked "Save as Default Template".
Now, when I open a chart from "file --> open" the stockchart uses that default template. BUT if I then click the little black arrow ("Next Security"), the chart that comes next does not use the template anymore. I have to click "apply template --> default" to use it.
I use the same indicators all the time --> it would be nice if I could flip through the charts with that "next security"-option.

When you save a new default template you must delete ALL existing smart charts. You can do this by deleting the charts or by deleting the MSSMART folders. MetaStock does not replace an existing smart shart with the new template - it only uses the template when there is not an existing smart chart. At least that's my understanding. Deleting existing smart charts will allow all newly opened charts to reflect the current default template.
