I want to run a system test on weeklydata, but I can't find any option to change.. i'm using EOD, and when I select what markets I want to test in the system tester, the option for periodicy is disabled.
Canät find anything about this in the manual or on the web.... help anyone?

What version of metastock are you running?

As you load the data for a system test on MS 8.01 and above you have the option to set the data periodicity. After the data is loaded it's too late to change. Remove all data and reload to change periodicity.

I'm using Metstock 8...
mstt: The problem is that this option is disabled for me (don't know why). My data is in metastock format, so i don't think thats the problem.. don't know why it doesn't work.. and it really irritates me.. :-(

Perigon, upgrade (free) to MS v8.01, and you won't see this problem again.

I agree with Jose. The probem may be one of the many System Tester bugs in MS 8.0. If you're a registerd MetaStock user I believe you're entitled to the free upgrade to MS 8.01, and I can assure you that 8.01 does allow you to select the periodicity at the time of loading securities. Once loaded it's too late to change periodicity (the periodicity options is greyed out).
Whether or not there's a bug in 8.0 causing your problem is not your only concern. The fact is that 8.0 System Tester results are virtually useless because of the numerous bugs.
