I am a full-time trader and programmer, and I have been developing custom MSX DLLs for MetaStock for 6 years now.
While working on an automatic trendline tool, Jose Silva ( www.metastocktools.com and the resulting product is the most sophisticated trend drawing tool available for MetaStock today.
Trend toolbox also has a backtesting capability with past trendlines, as well as a data fitting feature with up to 10th degree polynomials (you have to see a 10th degree polynomial to believe it). :)

I hope anyone looking for a good automatic MS trend tool takes a good look at the Trend Toolbox, and possibly comes up with similar conclusions to mine - a very useful visual tool indeed.
