Does anybody know what the formula would be to incorporate a horizontal shift into the moving average formula. thanks, nbbo

You need to use the ref function. Check your help file for the syntax ... For example the following would give me a 5 period adjusted average: Ref(Mov(C,10,S),-5) Patrick :mrgreen:

hey nbbo.... not knowing what your after , left or right horizontal shift, the shift to the left would be, Ref(Mov(C,10,S),+5) ...... patrick has talked specifically about pro's and con's of "+5" in one of the formula training lessons.....h
