one of the best the things about reading other members miseries is in learning of the solution before learning of the problem..... doc’s suggestion on using the cross function rather than > and < is case in point..... relatively speakin we should all be having similar problems..... so keep the questions coming, makes our learning a whole lot less painfull.... if you have upgraded to 9.1, the 9 version is still of high value..... if your goal is to use it on the same computer just install the entire 9 program to another folder path , then install 9.1..... your local data folders can still be used by both..... it’s the smart chart files created by 9.1 that causes the rift between the versions..... that is easily corrected by opening charts with a template..... odds are applying a template is often the end result anyway.... when you install meta 9.1 it will add a desktop icon for the new version unless you tell it not to.... {"C:\\Program Files\\Equis\\MetaStock\\MsWin.exe"} common path for online icon to 9.1 {"C:\\Program Files\\Equis\\MetaStock\\MsWin.exe" /l /e} common path for offline icon to 9.1 all I did was create another folder, named it metastock and installed from scratch the entire meta 9 program inside it..... when installing your given the option of where..... be sure to backup any 9 formula’s, systems, experts and such first.... first..... {"C:\\Program Files\\MetaStock\\Mswin.exe"} is my online path to 9 {"C:\\Program Files\\MetaStock\\Mswin.exe" /l /e } is my offline path to 9 If you use desktop icons to open the 9 version, just make sure the path is correct…. both will act independently and you can export your 9 work to 9.1 at a more leisurely pace..... of course if you and your wife had different tastes in layouts and such, let her have 9.1 and you take the 9..... for safety sake.... h Ot..... marilyn has felt that patrick and some friends have deserved a nice long vacation.... henry has finally provided the complicated algorithm for the selection process, g has finally provided a list of all members/guests and jose has finally provided the location of his holiday island...... so all we need now is your help...... marilyns meta contest.....
