I mentioned before that forum.dll wil not show up in metastock, but asi.dll will. So I have been using the asi.dll.
Doing so , asi. will show up as an indicator. However, when I put it into the System Tester, no buys will occur. No buys will occur if the asi.dll aspect is even in the "buy order" box, yet not being used as part of the buy signal formula! That is, for example: If partbuy:=asi.sma etc, is in the buy order box, yet actually "partbuy" variable :( is not used in the buy formula, no buys occur. ;If I bracket out { } the asi.dll part, then the buys occur.
I am using the asi.sma... and asi.hhv ones. Thanks very much. Geo

Hi Geoffrey
I have run a System Test using the ASI.EMA function in a couple of called formulas without any problems. I've also created the code inside the ST and run it without problems. Why don't you create an indicator using the ASI dll to do whatever you want, then call that indicator in the System Test with Fml("indicator name") and see if you get good result.
I'm using 9.1 and don't have an easily accessable version of 9.0 or 8.1 to try it out on. Contact me privately if your code is sensative or MSTT related.
