I am having trouble with my end of day data in metastock - I have been using a data provider and downloading / converting data daily for over a year now with no problems. I have recently upgraded my computer and have transferred all data onto my new hard drive and reloaded metastock.
Since then I have been unable to download the new end of day data into my existing data folder. If I create a new data folder the new data can be downloaded there but I have been unable to merge the old and new data.
I have read the merge data post on the forum and have tried merging a few individual files with no success - can anybody offer any suggestions or solutions?

Do you recieve an error message?
How are you merging the data?
Check the files on the new computer to make sure they are not write protected?
